Established specialty construction and restoration company in Galveston looking for part-time (30 hours per week flexible), dependable, detail oriented, self-starting, team-oriented, common-sense bookkeeper. Construction and/or project management experience a plus. Duties may include: - Verify and enter details of transactions in account and cash journals - Summarize details on separate ledgers or computer files and transfer data to general ledger - Balance books and compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of business - Calculate employee wages and prepare checks for payment of wages - Prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports - Compute, type, and mail invoice statements to customers - Complete records to or through trial balance Must be proficent with MS Excel, Word and Quickbooks.
